Stephen McElreaJP practices as a LINK Corporate Broker at the North Shore office. He has successfully sold a wide range of businesses across New Zealand, in the following sectors: food manufacture, motels and hotels, supermarkets, light engineering, marketing and promotion, import and distribution, software, and building franchise. Stephen has been a Corporate Broker with LINK for four years.
Stephen’s strengths as a broker include negotiation skills and a sound under-standing of the operational, financial and legal frameworks that support business. He is known as an innovative thinker, capable of finding creative solutions to negotiation impasses.
For over twenty years, Stephen was a broadcaster at TVNZ. He produced and directed many dramas and documentaries. He was Head of General and Special Interest Programmes and Television Manager of TVNZ Christchurch. He played a central role in TVNZ’s extensive involvement with the America’s Cup from 1990 – 1996.
Stephen established a marketing and sponsorship consultancy that for nine years serviced the SME market of Auckland. He was an investor and director of an investment company that owned a large hotel in Central Otago and property developments in the Gibbston Valley.
Stephen is a Member of the Broadcasting Commission (NZ On Air board member).
Stephen has several voluntary roles within the NZ National Party. He is Chairman of the Prime Minister’s electorate (Helensville) and a Regional Deputy Chairman of the Northern Region.
